Prior to DHL, Mr. Min held various positions as a trade attorney in the Legal Department of FedEx Express; as a lawyer in New York City with one of the largest U.S. law firms specializing in trade law; and as a trade attorney for the U.S. Treasury Department, the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in Washington DC. Mr. Min received a B.A. with Honors and a M.A. with high honors in international relations and a Juris Doctor from The Johns Hopkins University and The American University in Washington, DC. He also studied at the Moscow State Linguistics University in Russia and Seoul National University in South Korea.
Mr. Min’s past experiences with North Korea include being a Board Member and former Chairman of a U.S. based non-governmental organization that has operated in North Korea since 1997. Mr. Min in the past co-owned several businesses with North Korea, conducted legal training and exchanges with several North Korean law firms and lawyers and continues to maintain relationships with North Korean senior officials. He has also advised several European, Chinese and U.S. investors in North Korea prior to recent sanctions. He is a member and legal advisor to the U.S. National Committee on North Korea and has traveled extensively throughout North Korea.
